Many have compared spiritual progress to a climb upward “into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey” (Exodus 3:8). The idea of calling God’s mountain a “butter mountain” comes from Psalm 67:16 in the Septuagint, which uses the image to communicate the richness of the Lord’s dwelling place. “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him” (Psalm 34:8, KJV).

I have always wanted to journey up into prayer and experience the full richness of Jesus Christ our God. You can think of this online journal as my travelogue. Subscribe to get full access to all of my entries. Every new entry will go directly to your email inbox.
